MOUNTAIN HOUSE PACK 511

Since 2013

Welcome to MH Pack 511!

Cub Scouts Pack 511 was chartered in November 2013 and has been serving scouts in grades K-5 in Mountain House, CA . We are part of the Sierra Valley District in the Greater Yosemite Council and are sponsored by Go2Realty Pros, Inc.

Groups of 5-10 kids (of the same age/grade level) called dens meet at least once a month, while our more active dens meet twice monthly. Girls and boys will have separate dens. Den meetings are often held at a Den Leader’s home. As of 2020, den meetings are held virtually. When necessary, MASKS ARE REQUIRED at socially-distanced in-person outdoor gatherings.

Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a Pack meeting at Mountain House High School Multipurpose Room under the direction of the Cubmaster and Pack Committee. The committee includes parents of kids in the pack. There are other Pack sponsored events and meetings. For example, our Pack makes an effort to participate in local community events and does service projects throughout the year as well. We also have the Blue & Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby every year. As of 2020, all Pack meeting and events are held virtually.

Our goal is to foster the BSA vision of building our youth into conscientious, responsible, and productive youth by instilling in them lifetime values and developing ethical character traits as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. We want to create an environment that fosters a sense of community while keeping the fun in scouting. As Baden Powell once said, we are building “Happy, Healthy, and Helpful Citizens.”

We are required to ensure that all our leaders are properly trained, so our scouts can be mentored in a safe environment provided by our sponsor organization.

Many of our scouts go on to join Scouts BSA Troop 511 for boys, also sponsored by Go2Realty Pros, Inc. And we are poised to start up Scouts BSA Troop 2511 for girls soon.

It is our sincerest hope that if you or if someone you know is considering becoming involved in Scouting, you will contact one of our leaders.
